The event starts with a scenic route along historic Bay Street and Texas City Dike\, where runners from all over the county will participate in the Press Run. The race ends at the iconic Showboat\, where the Shrimp Fest awaits you! Imagine a 2-block area filled with music\, vendors\, kids' activities\, and of course\, mouth-watering shrimp. It's the perfect way to spend your day with family and friends. \n\n \n\nBut that's not all! The Daily News Press Run supports the Newspaper in Education program as part of this long-standing family event. By participating\, you'll not only have a great time\, but you'll also be supporting a great cause. All participating runners will receive a $10 coupon to purchase their shrimp meal. The event ends at 6:30 p.m.\, so make sure you join us early to experience all the fun.
