DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\, OCTOBER 15TH\n\n\n\nBayou Fest in La Marque will be held on Saturday\, October 15\, 2022  from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Highland Bayou Park. From live music to kids activities to fireworks\, Bayou Fest offers fun for all ages. Admission and parking are free!\n\n\n\nHere is a run-down of all the major activities at Bayou Fest in La Marque:\n\n\n\nBAYOU FEST BBQ COOKOFF\n\nCompete with the best of the best as part of the Galveston County Triple Crown! On Friday\, October 14\, 2022\, the BBQ Cook-Off ramps up as teams compete for $10\,000 in prize money. Rules and reservation lists are available by contacting Texas City   La Marque Chamber at 409-935-1408. The Bayou Fest Cook-Off features 100 BBQ spots with easy access\, stabilized ground\, water and power hookups.\n\n\n\nKIDS QUE COOKOFF\n\nEnjoy the First Annual La Marque Kids Que Cookoff. This is a FREE event limited to the first 20 kids to sign up. There are two age groups and ten kids per group. Ages 7-11 (Junior) and 12-16 (Senior) years. The Junior group will take place between 10:30am-11:30am and Senior group between 12:00pm-1:00pm. Registrations are being accepted now. Email Philip S. Sukal at philipsukal@elliott-tool.com for forms and more information.\n\n\n\n"COWBOY" JONES CHILDREN'S FISHING TOURNAMENT\n\nJoin Rusty Hook Fishing Club for the annual kids' fishing tournament! The first 200 children 12 years old and younger to register will receive a free t-shirt and lunch. Participants must provide a rod and rod and reel\, but Boyd's One Stop will provide the bait. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Kids can fish from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with parent or guardian supervision. For ten categories of fish\, kids can win a new rod and reel plus a new tackle box provided by La Marque Lions Club. Alex's A/C provides goody bags stuffed with goodies from several TCLM Chamber members.\n\n\n\nCORNHOLE TOURNAMENT\n\nGrab your partner and come throw some bags! Presented by Lone Star Cornhole Organization. Bring your own partner doubles\, upper and lower divisions. $20 per player or $40 per team. Boards open at 11:00am and the tournament will start at Noon. Open to everyone!\n\n\n\nARTS & CRAFTS\n\nGet a jump on your Christmas shopping at the Bayou Fest's vendor fair! Over 20 craft vendors are expected. Are you crafty yourself? There are still a couple vendors spaces open. Call the Chamber to inquire right away! La Marque Lions Club will present cash prizes for the first-\, second- and third-favorite pumpkins.  Age divisions are 5 years and under\, 6-10 years\, 11-14 years and 15-19 years. A parent must accompany children under the age of 12.\n\n\n\nMUTTON BUSTIN'\n\nDress up your little cowboys and cowgirls and meet us near the pavilion. Registration is at noon and the events start at 1:00 p.m. The fee is $20. There are two age categories\, 2-5 and 6-7. Belt buckles will be awarded for Grand Champion and Reserve Champion in each age group. The weight limit is 65 pounds and parents must sign a waiver at registration.\n\n\n\nFREE CONCERTS \n\nGrab your friends\, bring chairs and dance the night away at this free community concert!  Make sure to visit our food trucks and craft vendors between shows.
