Building Dedication

Gulf Shore Federal Credit Union Building Dedication
In honor and recognition of 54 years of dedicated service to their members, they are honored to re-dedicate their main campus building in honor of long-time president, Susan M. Herring.
 
December 01, 1971, as a young mother, Susan began working at the credit union assisting in multiple areas.  In 1984, Susan was promoted to President,a role she maintained for forty years until her retirement in January 2025.

Susan’s conservative nature, steady hand and years of experience allowed Gulf Shore Federal Credit Union to grow and remain viable during her tenure.  Overseeing the absorption of three other credit unions, Susan ensured the long-term future of the credit union.
