Taking Care of Business: Workplace Protection Commitment for Texas City

The Texas City – La Marque Chamber of Commerce and the City of Texas City have partnered along with the County of Galveston Business Task Force to encourage workplace safety awareness. Below, you will find information about this opportunity to let people know that you take every step possible to create a safe environment for your staff, your customers, and clients. By displaying the certificate and poster at your business, others will recognize and have confidence that your business practices safe standards. You will also be an inspiration to others; setting an example of working together to conquer the spread of Covid-19.
By signing, a business or organization promises to remain informed of the latest recommended health and safety guidelines, to sanitize their facility frequently, to provide personal protective equipment and sanitation tools to their staff, and to take all steps they can to protect their employees, customers and community.
Posters will be provided to businesses to display at their establishments to show the community that they have taken the commitment to workplace safety. Texas City businesses interested in taking the commitment and receiving a poster can click here

What is the Workplace Protection Commitment?
Businesses that have reopened are encouraged to request a "Reopening Toolkit." The toolkit contains state and county guidelines specific to each type of business, and useful resources. Businesses can sign and display their commitment at their establishment.
