La Marque, November 2nd, 2023 – In a significant move aimed at spurring economic growth and creating local job opportunities, the City of La Marque and the La Marque Economic Development Corporation are proud to announce the designation of a new Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) within its boundaries. The La Marque Economic Development Corporation collaborated with the Office of the Texas Governor to help achieve these results.

On Monday, October 30, the top 43 6-A marching bands in the Today, on the beautiful Devereux Texas campus, an inspiring event took place to honor the dedication of the League City First Responders. The event not only highlighted the strong bond between Devereux and League City but also created lasting memories for the children under the care of Devereux.

On Friday, Feb. 17, the City of Texas City will host the first program of the Mayor’s Fatherhood Initiative.
At the event, called “Oh, The Places You Will Go,” participants will learn some basic automotive skills, including how to change a flat tire and jump-start a car battery. It will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17 at the Rotary Pavilion (1700 5th Ave) in Texas City.
