TEXAS CITY – Jeanette Caligone, of Hitchcock, was ready to come back “home.”
In 2017, Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc in the Greater Houston-Galveston area, and Caligone, whose car was financed through AMOCO Federal Credit Union, found herself in a terrible predicament when her car was flooded during the storm.
Her car insurance paid off the vehicle’s value; however, it didn’t cover the vehicle’s loan balance. Unfortunately, along with life circumstances, Caligone had fallen behind on payments, The UTMB Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) is excited to announce Resident and Fellow Appreciation May 2 - 4, 2023!

On Friday, Feb. 17, the City of Texas City will host the first program of the Mayor’s Fatherhood Initiative.
At the event, called “Oh, The Places You Will Go,” participants will learn some basic automotive skills, including how to change a flat tire and jump-start a car battery. It will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17 at the Rotary Pavilion (1700 5th Ave) in Texas City.

GALVESTON, TX - December 23, 2022 - The Galveston Texas City Pilots christened a new vessel, the Texas Class pilot boat “Texas City” on Sunday, December 18, 2022.
The “Texas City” is the third 70' Texas Class pilot boat in the Galveston Texas City Pilot’s fleet. Powered by triple Volvo IPS propulsion units, it will consume approximately 30% less fuel than the existing 70' boats, resulting in future cost savings and helping to The Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce has announced the promotion of Stefanie Aldrich to Vice President.
