About Us

The League of Women Voters is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots civic organization encouraging informed and active participation. League of Women Voters of Galveston activated on June 19, 2023. We serve Galveston County, and in particular, the following cities are part of our catchment area: Santa Fe, Hitchcock, Texas City, La Marque, Galveston, High Island, Crystal Beach, Jamaica Beach, Tiki Island

We work with High Schools, Colleges, Trade Schools, City Offices, Active Adult Centers, and other nonprofit organizations. Our mission is to Empower Voters and Defend Democracy!v
